WSU Columbia View Field Day August 7

PULLMAN, Wash. -- An ecology study based on a new chemistry study will be one of 17 research projects on display at the Washington State University Columbia View Orchard Field Day on August 7.

Growers also will get to see work on NC-140 apple rootstocks, mites on pears, use of Rubidium for marking pests and beneficial insects, and research on the physiological effects of horticultural oils.

The program begins at 1 p.m. The orchard is located about nine miles north of Wenatchee and four miles south of Orondo on U.S. 97.
