Satellite Teleconference on Farm Programs Aug. 27

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The first of a series of four satelliteteleconferences on new farm programs will be broadcast 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. August 27.

The program will provide information on risk management, multi-peril crop insurance and marketing assistance loans. Presenters will answer phoned or faxed questions after their presentations. Toll-free numbers will be announced during the program.

The broadcast can be viewed by setting satellite dishes to Satcom, C-1, Channel 22 vertical on the C-Band. The downlink frequency is 4140 megahertz. Test and tone transmissions will begin at 7:45 a.m.

Call (509) 335-5290 before the broadcast if you have problems finding the program.

Contact your WSU county Cooperative Extension offices to learn the nearest public viewing site if you do not have a TV equipped for satellite viewing. Contact Jon Newkirk, extension economist, at (509) 659-0090, extension 214, for more information on program content.
