Farm Bill Satellite Teleconference Canceled
PULLMAN, Wash. A Nov. 22 satellite teleconference on new U.S. Department of Agriculture programs has been canceled.
"Details of the conservation compliance provisions of the Farm Bill have been delayed and will not be available until probably the first week of January," said Ed Adams, Washington State University Cooperative Extension plant pathologist.
"We anticipate changes in the Conservation Reserve Program portions of the rules. Therefore we decided not to hold a satellite conference now."
A new date for the teleconference has not been set.
The teleconference was part of a series on new federal farm programs sponsored by the USDA Farm Services Agency, the USDA Risk Management Agency, the Natural Resources Conservation Service and WSU Cooperative Extension.
