Pesticide Commission to Meet in Richland

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State Commission on Pesticide Registration will meet Wednesday, July 16, in Room W-235 on the Washington State University Tri-Cities campus in Richland.

The commission is expected to review legislative issues and requests for funding from the commission for research.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. The public is invited. Contact Catherine Daniels at (509) 372-7492 for further information.

The commission was created by the state legislature in 1995 to obtain and maintain pesticide registrations for critical pest control needs of the state.

The commission, headquartered on WSU's Tri-Cities campus, holds public meetings throughout the state to solicit and review proposals from growers.
