Inland Turf, Tree & Landscape Conference, Feb. 1-2
PULLMAN, Wash. -- The 15th annual Inland Northwest Turf, Tree and Landscape Conference is scheduled Feb 1-2 at the Coeur d'Alene Resort in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
The educational program attracts more than 300 professional landscapers, arborists, master gardeners, pest control companies, nursery employers, educators, students, and public and private grounds maintenance professionals from Washington, Idaho, and Oregon.
"Whether you're a small business owner, a manager of municipal lands or a grounds maintenance specialist, you won't want to miss this opportunity to meet and hear from outstanding presenters," said Tonie Fitzgerald, Washington State University Cooperative Extension, Spokane County.
New on the program this year is a pre-conference tree-pruning workshop on Jan. 31. It will include a hands-on pruning tour of Coeur d'Alene. Also offered will be individual tracks on different aspects of the Green Industry, such as Arboriculture, Turf, Landscape Design and Planning, Maintenance and Construction, Pesticides and Marketing.
The roster of speakers includes Jeff Goebel, an internationally known conflict resolution speaker and workshop leader; Jim Clark of HortScience, Inc, Pleasanton, Calif.; and Olaf Ribiero, Ribiero Plant Labs, Bainbridge.
Nursery and grounds maintenance suppliers are sought for the exhibit show. Pesticide recertification credits for Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana will be available along with International Society of Arboriculture continuing education units.
