WSU Announces Wine Scholarships
PULLMAN, Wash. -- Feb. 1 is the deadline for students to apply for about $100,000 in scholarships for students who want to major in growing wine grapes or making wine at Washington State University.
Viticulture and enology program is an option under the bachelor of science degree in horticulture. It is available to students on the Pullman and Tri-Cities campuses.
Resources for expansion of the program resulted from partnership with WSU, community colleges and the industry, said Ray Folwell, program director. "Industry sponsored events have raised about $100,000 for students interested in majoring in this area."
