Riebe Appointed 4-H Development Director
PULLMAN, Wash. -- Megan Riebe, assistant director of Foundation Relations at Washington State University, has been named 4-H Extension Director of Development and Director of the 4-H Foundation.
Reibe will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong fund-raising program on behalf of WSU Extension and the 4-H Foundation. Among other things, she will direct, plan and administer development, public relations and related activities.
"She will make an excellent addition to our team," said Patrick Kramer, executive director of alumni and development in the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences.
Riebe earned a bachelor's degree in marketing at WSU in 1990. Following graduation, she worked in sales for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and later served as administrator of the Pacific Conservation District.
She also worked as a private fund-raising consultant and in development positions at the Columbia-Pacific Resource Conservation and Economic Development District, and Central Washington University before returning to Washington State University in 2001 to become development coordinator in the College of Sciences. She moved to the central WSU Foundation staff in 2003.
Riebe will begin her new duties on June 1. Her primary office will be located in Pullman but she also will work out of the 4-H Foundation office at the WSU Puyallup Research and Extension Center.
